Leading Supplier of Shaped Metal Components Under New Ownership & Management

Palmer, MA – August 22, 2006 --- Profiles Incorporated announced today that it has been acquired by an investor group led by Hastings Equity Partners and Jeff Buck. Tom Brock, former owner and President, will retire but remain as a Director of the Company. Jeff Buck, one of the principal investors, will assume the duties of Chief Executive Officer.

Jeff Buck is a seasoned manufacturing executive with a broad based operating background in the metals industry for the past 21 years. During his career he has carried full P& L responsibility for a number of businesses, and has successfully managed companies through severe downturn and ramp-up cycles. He has been involved in a number of successful acquisitions and divestitures, and he specializes in mergers and business consolidations. Most recently he merged the Bumstead & Hansen Divisions of Primus International a Seattle based company.

Jeff holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing Technology and graduated from the Executive Management Program at the University of Washington.
