Spooling is the process of winding metal wire around a reel for shipping or as an open coil with no reel. When no reel is used, the coils are usually secured with plastic zip ties and either bagged and boxed or banded to a pallet and shrink-wrapped.

Profiles has 3 level wound spoolers and 2 spoolers on the heat treat line for a level wound spooled and heat treated finished product. Standard ID for spooled product is in the range of 30”, custom OD/ID options are available. Profiles, Inc. can spool finished wire on industry standard or custom-sized (up to 500 lb. Max) reels and package reels on pallets or other custom configurations per request.
